Offense: D’Onta Foreman JR RB – Texas
In helping Texas defeat Baylor for the second time in as many years, D’Onta Foreman put on a clinic of finesse and power on his way to 250 yards rushing. The game marked the ninth consecutive game that Foreman has gone over 100 yards rushing, the longest active streak in the nation.
This season, Foreman has established himself as one of the top running backs in the country. His rushing total of 1105 yards ranks third in the nation (best of any P5 conference player), despite missing a game and a half due to injury. Next up, Texas travels to Lubbock to face an atrocious Texas Techdefense that ranks 104th in the nation defending the run. Foreman will need to have a big day if the Longhorns hope to continue momentum after their latest top ten victory.
Defense: Vincent Taylor JR DT – Oklahoma State
Anchoring a stout defensive performance for Oklahoma State, Vincent Taylor came up big for the Pokes as they handed West Virginia their first loss of the season. Taylor recorded six total tackles (three for loss) and two and a half sacks. He also added a pass defense and forced fumble.
Taylor’s performance was key in the Pokes defeat of the 10th ranked Mountaineers. His tackle and sack totals were season-highs for him, and his forced fumble marks the second time in as many weeks that he has forced a turnover. Next up, Oklahoma State travels to Manhattan to take on Kansas State.
